I am Thijs Bol, a sociologist at the University of Amsterdam and the Principal Investigates of CAREER. My research focuses on inequality in different domains: education, the labor market, and science. I mostly use quantitative methods to understand how inequality originates and develops in these different domains. In CAREER I am involved in all subprojects, and am working on connecting all the different subprojects that the team members undertake. Besides my work as a sociologist, I am currently the vice-chair of the Dutch Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.
