“Skills and Careers in Changing Labour Markets”
The CAREER project is organising a workshop in Amsterdam on 26-27 May 2025 on “Skills and Careers in Changing Labour Markets“. This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on the crosssections of education, work, and labour markets from various disciplines, including
sociology, economics, and political science. The program will feature keynote lectures from Heike Solga (WZB) and Siwei Cheng (NYU).
We invite contributions that examine:
- education- or skill-based differences in workers’ labour market outcomes and trajectories,
- the effects of hiring practices and how employers evaluate skills
- how technological change shapes occupations, tasks, and skills.
We especially encourage submissions that bring new theoretical insights to these questions
and/or address them with innovative data and methodological tools.
For more information, please look at our Call for Papers! We welcome paper submissions until December 20, 2024.
